What does austerity look like today in the United Kingdom?

Nov 14, 2017

Hello Austerity Readers, today we feature a paper by Dr. Simon Lee (University of Hull in the UK) on the recent history of austerity in the United Kingdom. Dr. Lee goes beyond headline economic indicators (like GDP and employment) to examine the fiscal policy trajectories, the distribution between economic sectors, and their effects since 2010.

You can find the full paper on our Research Page under 'Case Studies'!
