Jul 04, 2017

Our first piece of 'Tuesday content' comes from David Macdonald, Senior Economist at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA). In this presentation, David looks at the long history of austerity in Canada at the federal level, and provides excellent insights into the difference between budgetary austerity (e.g. cuts embedded in an annual budget) and structural austerity (i.e. the long term revenue and expenditure capacities of the state).

You can find the full presentation on our Research Page under 'Case Studies'!
